  • Feature: Configure group permissions for a task definition.

  • Use: Grant or limit user access to tasks with a specific task definition.

Prerequisites

Managing permissions

There are two ways to view and update group permissions for task definitions:

  1. Go to the task definition page.

  2. Open the Permission Manager page.

Permission changes on one page are auto-saved on the other page. As such, there is no possibility of permission conflicts for a definition.

This article shows you how to update permissions on the task definition page. Click to learn how to change definition permissions on the Permission Manager page.

Updating permissions

  1. Open a task definition.

  2. Select a task type.

  3. Click the Permissions field. A popup displays.

Managing permissions

On the Assign Task Permissions popup, use the checkboxes to manage View, View Only Own, and Create permissions for each group. Click Done to save. Nektar auto-saves these settings on the Permission Manager page.

If you select both View and View Only Own for the same group, Nektar enables the more secure permission (i.e. View Only Own).
