What is a project?

It's a tool that bundles assets under a digital umbrella by adding a tag to the Project field. After a user assigns an asset to a project, Nektar spiders through the platform and locates resources related to the asset, like tasks and work orders.

The result? Project assets and related resources are invisible to users without group-level permissions but visible and accessible to users with proper permissions.

Prerequisites

Know how to:

Creating a project

To create a project, go to the side menu and select Projects > Project Manager. Go to the Project Manager and click the plus (+) button. A popup displays.

Click the Project Group field and select an option (e.g. Default Group). Go to the Project Name field, enter a unique label, and then click Create.

Nektar adds the new project to the existing group.

Creating a new group

If you want to place the new project inside a custom group, open the original folder and select the project. Go to the new window and change the name in the first field. Nektar auto-creates the new group with the new project.
