When creating an asset or task definition, you can set some elements to be mandatory which will require the user to fill them out before they can create the asset, record the task, etc.
When an element is set as mandatory, it will have a red bar it (in both web and mobile applications)
To set an element as mandatory:
Go to Asset Definition Manager or Task Definition Manager from the left-hand side navigational menu.
Open the asset or task definition in which the elements should be assigned as a mandatory.
Click on the mandatory checkbox to assign or remove the mandatory requirement.
