Save users the struggle of figuring out which asset to record a task against

The ability to record any task against any asset is great - but sometimes we have task definitions that should ONLY ever be recorded against one generic/global asset (i.e. a "Warehouse Inspection" task that should only ever be recorded against the warehouse asset).

In cases like these, it can often be confusing for users to try and figure out which asset to record against. To save your users that confusion, you can use the Preload Asset function in Task Definition Manager.

The Preload Asset function allows you to choose one specific asset that should be preloaded any time that Task Definition is used.

Setup is easy. First go to Task Definition Manager, choose your task definition, then click on the Preload Asset element and choose your preloaded asset.

Now, any time this Task Definition is used, the asset will be preloaded and users won't need to figure out which asset to record the task against.
