Create a dashboard widget to display a value in a gauge format.
Opening the Create Widget window
To create a widget:
Click Dashboard on the side menu.
Go to the top right corner and click Edit Layout> Add Widget.
Click the Type field and select Gauge.
Fill in the fields (see below).
Add filters. (optional, learn more)
Click Create.
Filling in the fields
Go to the top of the window and enter a title and description (optional). Click the Choose Primary Focus link to select a data set.
In the popup, go to the Primary Focus field and select an option (e.g. assets, tasks, or word orders). Depending on your selection, the form displays additional fields. Select an option for each field. Click Save to close the popup.
Customize settings.
Show on Mobile - This feature is enabled by default. Uncheck the box to hide this widget on mobile devices.
Color - Customize the colour of the widget on the dashboard.
Display Mode - Select the gauge design: a vertical bar or semi-circle arch.
Unit Labels - Optionally, display the unit of measurement (e.g. kilograms, hours, etc.) next to the number in the widget.
Aggregate Type - Choose a data display format (e.g. count, average, sum, etc.). The range of available options depends on the Primary Focus value. If you choose any operator other than Count, click the Add Column button and select a parameter.
Range - Enter the minimum and maximum values for the gauge.
Range Colors - Use colours to communicate a number's status in relation to a pre-defined maximum value. Select an operator, add a value, and choose a colour. Optionally, select the Flash checkbox. When this threshold has been reached, the widget flashes on the dashboard.
Adding filters
Add one or more filters to disaggregate data and focus on a defined subset. In the example below, the user created a widget to show the volume of fuel inside one fuel storage tank.
In the below screenshot, two widgets display fuel volume totals for two storage tanks. Green indicates the tank volume is satisfactory, and red suggests the volume is at a critically low level.
