Create, move, and rename task grid details layouts

Prerequisites

Know how to create a custom layout for the task details grid.

Loading a layout window

Open a layout window to view and manage the folder/file structure of the task grid details layouts. There are two ways to open the layout window:

  • from the task grid and

  • from the task grid details table.

From the task grid

  1. Go to the side menu and select Tasks > Views Tasks.

  2. In the popup, click the Load Task(s) button. The task grid displays.

  3. Click the Load Tasks / Layout button on the toolbar. A popup displays.

Click the Saved Layouts button. The Load Layout window displays. Right-click a folder or file to open a menu and move files into folders. (see below)

From the task grid details table

  1. Go to the side menu and select Tasks > Views Tasks.

  2. In the popup, click the Load Task(s) button. The task grid displays.

  3. Click the plus (+) icon in the toolbar to expand all folder(s) and display task type subfolder(s). Optionally, click the arrow icon in a row to expand one folder.

  4. Go to an expanded folder and click the plus (+) icon. The task grid details table displays in a new window.

Go to the toolbar and click the Save icon. The Save Layout popup displays. Right-click a folder or file to open a menu or move files into folders. (see below)

Managing folders

Right-click a folder to display a menu. Rename an existing folder or add a new folder. You can also delete a folder.

To create a folder, enter a name and click the checkmark to save.

To add a subfolder, create a folder and drag it into an existing folder.

Managing files

Right-click a file to delete a layout or change its name. To move a layout, drag and drop the file to a folder location.
