An operation is an attribute of assets or tasks that exists solely for organizational purposes, giving you the ability to define the way your tasks are sorted to better suit your needs - think of it like a group. This is the default method of grouping tasks and assets in the data input screens (Create Asset, Record Task), grids, and definition managers. This attribute is not optional and is required when creating a new operation.
