A geofence is a virtual boundary drawn on a map to represent a real-world area that is important to your organization. It can be used to monitor when assets enter, exit, or move within that defined area. Geofences are commonly created around job sites, facilities, restricted zones, yards, or any location where activity needs to be tracked.

Geofence data includes:

  • A defined geographic boundary outlining the monitored area.

  • A name and description for easy identification.

  • An associated project (optional).

  • A customizable display color to help visually distinguish the geofence on the map.

  • Creation details, including the user who created the geofence.
