An alternate authentication method

Biometric login provides an alternate way to securely authenticate your Nektar user account on supported devices without manually entering credentials. It utilizes your phone's security methods (e.g. fingerprint, face, iris scan) to determine the associated Nektar credentials. This authentication typically also functions as your device unlocking method.

Enabling the biometric option

The first step is to confirm that biometric authentication is registered on your device. Biometric authentication is typically managed inside the device's security settings.

Once set up, log in to Nektar with Remember Me turned off. Upon successful login, the app prompts you to associate your Nektar user account with the device's biometric authentication system.

Biometric login is sometimes controlled via the application settings.

Logging in

Biometric login and the standard text-based login are incompatible systems. You must choose one or the other. As such, the Username and Password fields should be blank, and the Remember Me box should be unchecked.

Once biometric authentication has been associated with your user account and the above conditions are met, the app replaces the Login button with the Login with Biometrics button. Tap the button to bring up the authentication prompt.
