Offline mode allows users to perform limited data collection operations without the need for a network connection. Currently Create Asset and Record Task(s) are the only supported options for offline caching.

In order to utilize offline mode functionality the user needs to successfully log in at least once, with Remember Me checked. This allows the app to authenticate the user offline.

A user will NOT be able to get into the app without successful authentication.

Furthermore, it is also important to let sync complete to have up-to date definitions.

Offline Mode can be invoked in two ways; forced via the app settings or automatically activated when a device has no active network connection (WiFi or mobile data) available. While in offline mode, a persistent red 'Working in Offline Mode' banner will be visible after logging in.

Please note, if you are you have a patchy network connection, it is best to leave Force Offline Mode ON as this will ensure that all data is stored on the device until the user can upload it on a steady connection.

Since the offline cache lives on the device and is associated with the user, it will persist as long as there is no user change and the app data is not deleted.

Once there is data present in the offline cache, the Offline Cache menu option will become available. Users can view, delete and upload the cached asset/task data by navigating into the option.
