Use: Beacons provide a real-time view of asset location and status.
Prerequisites
Before you try to attach a beacon to an asset, confirm that the beacon feature is enabled for that Asset Type and that the user has the proper permissions. Click here to learn more.
In the mobile app, if your asset has a Bluetooth beacon, you can scan the beacon instead of the QR tag when viewing an asset summary or recording a task.
Scanning a beacon
When viewing the Select Asset screen (i.e. tapping view asset summary or tapping the record task button after filling in some task details), tap the Bluetooth icon. This launches the scan beacon screen.
When scanning, hold the mobile device directly on top of the beacon (to scan the correct beacon and prevent interference from nearby beacons).
