Feature: Send diagnostic data from a telematics device to an asset element.
Use: Easily compile reports, compare data with similar assets in interfaces that don't show the live telematics widget, and run automations (for Geotab-device types).
Prerequisites
Make sure the telematics device is attached to an asset. Confirm telematics is enabled for the asset's definition.
Configuring element settings
Go to the side and click Assets > Asset Definition Manager.
Select an asset type.
Click the three-dot icon in the top right corner of the page.
Select Advanced Settings.
Click the Manage Auto Update Elements button.
Scroll through the list and match a telematics diagnostic data type with the asset element you want to update.
Click a field and select an option on the drop-down menu. The menu shows the available elements for the asset type. If you need more options, close the window and create the required elements.
Not all diagnostic data will come through for all vehicles. The data received depends on the availability of data from the vehicle manufacturer.
