  • Feature: Configure group-level work order permissions.

  • Use: Grant or limit user access to work orders. Admins can also hide or display work order links on the side menu.

Prerequisites

None.

Managing side menu access

Admins can hide or display some or all work order links on the side menu.

  1. Go to the side menu and click Manage > Permission Manager.

  2. On the next page, select a Permission Group.

  3. Click the Menus tab.

  4. Expand the Web Menu folder (if collapsed).

  5. Expand the Work Orders folder.

  6. Use the checkboxes to hide or display all or some work order links on the side menu.

There is no save button. Nektar auto-saves the changes.

Admins can customize the menu display on mobile devices. Scroll down to the Mobile App Menu heading and expand the Data Collection folder. Enable or disable the Work Orders feature.

Customizing Misc. settings

Click the Misc. tab to access two groups of options.

Grid settings

Open the Grids folder and use the checkboxes to enable or disable permissions to create, delete, or rename work order grid layouts.

These settings control the user's ability to access and update all grids, including tasks, assets, and work orders.

Files

Expand the Files folder. Set global settings for file management (i.e. delete, rename, upload). Note these settings apply to all platform functions, including but not limited to work orders.

Work orders

Scroll down the page and expand the Work Orders folder. Use the checkboxes to enable or disable these tools and features.
