Map data from an ArcGIS feature service

An ArcGIS feature service is a web service which supplies data which can be mapped. A URL to an ArcGIS feature service might look something like this:

If we paste that URL into our browser, we'll see something like this:

To upload an ArcGIS Feature Service URL for viewing on the map, first click the plus symbol in the Feature Layers section, and then click New Layer

A popup will be shown. Clicking ArcGIS Feature Service will show this screen

In the Layer Title field, type in the name you want for the layer. Then type or paste the URL into the Service URL field. The rest of the fields are optional. When you have finished customizing the layer, click Next. The layer properties will then be uploaded and appear in the Layers tab
