What is it?

Biometric login provides an alternate way to securely authenticate your Nektar user on supported devices, without entering your credentials manually. It utilises your phones security methods (fingerprint, face, iris scan) to figure out the associated Nektar credentials. This authentication typically also functions as your device unlocking method.

How do I enable it?

The first step to enable biometric login is to make sure biometric authentication is registered on your device. The biometric authentication typically be controlled from the devices security settings.

Once setup, log in to Nektar with Remember Me turned off. Upon successful login you will be prompted to associate your Nektar user with the devices' biometric authentication.

Biometric login may also be controlled via the application settings.

How do I use it?

Please note that biometric login and the standard text based login cannot work in conjunction. As such, both the Username & Password fields need to be left blank and Remember Me turned off.

Once biometric authentication has successfully been associated with a user and the above conditions met, the Login button will be replaced with the Login with Biometrics button. Clicking the button will bring up an authentication prompt.
