An asset is a collection of data that can represent any item your organization uses or wishes to track in it's processes. Assets are highly dynamic and can be used to represent anything of value or needing tracking such as offroad or mining equipment, pipelines, vehicles, agricultural equipment, buildings, computers, jobs, or even employees. If you need to keep track of it - it can be an asset! Through the use of asset definitions, the structure of an asset be matched closely to your existing processes and functions. Asset data includes:

  • Individual asset elements organized into sections

  • An associated project (optional)

  • Location data to display in maps or GIS systems

  • The user who created the asset
